Welcome to Joyful Treats. By placing an order through our website, WhatsApp, phone, email or in store, you agree to the terms below. Please read them before ordering.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Joyful Treats, trading as Joyful Cakes, holder of Dubai with its store at Joyful Treats, P04, Lake Level, Cluster Q - Al Thanyah Fifth - Jumeirah Lakes Towers Dubai, United Arab Emirates. “You” means the person placing the order.

1. Placing an Order

1.1 You can order through our website, by WhatsApp or phone on +971 55 101 9596, or by email at admin@joyfulcakes.ae.

1.2 For custom cakes, please share your event date, number of servings, budget and any reference pictures, ideas or invitations so we can design your cake.

1.3 An order is confirmed only once we have accepted it and payment has been received. We may decline or cancel an order if an item is unavailable, we cannot meet the requested date, or the information provided is incomplete or incorrect.

1.4 You are responsible for making sure the details you give us (items, flavours, sizes, messages, spelling, dates, address and phone number) are correct.

2. Prices and Payment

  1. All prices are in UAE Dirhams (AED) [and are inclusive of 5% VAT / and VAT is added at checkout]. Delivery charges are shown or confirmed separately.
  2. We accept Apple Pay, Visa and Mastercard through our secure online payment gateway. Bank transfer is available on request via WhatsApp.
  3. Payment is required in full to confirm your order.
  4. We do not store your card details. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider.
  5. Prices may change without notice, but the price confirmed at the time of your order will not change.

3. Custom and Bespoke Cakes

  1. Custom cakes are made to order and need a minimum of 3 to 5 days’ notice. Orders with shorter notice are accepted only at our discretion and subject to availability.
  2. Reference pictures are used as inspiration. Every cake is handcrafted, so slight differences in shape, colour, texture and decoration from reference images are normal and are not defects.
  3. Colours may vary slightly from those shown on screens or in photos. Deep reds, blacks and blues may take on slightly different tones and may temporarily stain hands, mouths or teeth.
  4. We may adjust a design where needed to keep the cake stable, safe to transport, or suited to weather conditions.
  5. We do not reproduce copyrighted characters, logos or trademarks beyond what is lawful. If you provide artwork, logos or text, you confirm you have the right to use them.
  6. Final design details, wording and flavours must be confirmed by you before we begin production. Once confirmed, we cannot be held responsible for errors in the information you provided.

4. Delivery

  1. We deliver across Dubai, and to Sharjah (delivery fee AED 70, minimum order AED 200). Delivery fees within Dubai are calculated based on your delivery location and shown or confirmed at checkout.
  2. Orders placed online after 4:30 PM are scheduled for next-day delivery. Same-day delivery is subject to availability and typically takes [3 to 5] hours from order confirmation.
  3. We deliver within the time slot chosen at checkout. Our team will contact you after your order is confirmed. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, road closures, building access or other circumstances outside our control.
  4. Please provide a complete and accurate address, a working phone number, and make sure someone is available to receive the order. If we cannot reach you or no one is available, we will make reasonable attempts to contact you. If delivery cannot be completed, the order may be treated as delivered and no refund will be due. A re-delivery may be arranged at an additional charge.
  5. We are not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by incorrect address details, restricted building access, or unavailability of the recipient.
  6. Please be present to receive your cake and check it on arrival. Report any concern immediately (see section 9).

5. Store Collection

  1. You may collect your order from our store at Joyful Treats, P04, Lake Level, Cluster Q - Al Thanyah Fifth - Jumeirah Lakes Towers Dubai, United Arab Emirates during agreed collection times.
  2. Cakes can be heavy, delicate and sensitive to heat. Please transport them flat, in an air-conditioned vehicle, and avoid sudden movements.
  3. Once an order leaves our premises and is in your care, you are responsible for it. We cannot be held responsible for damage that occurs during transport, handling or setup after collection or after delivery handover.

6. Changes and Cancellations

  1. Delivery details: If your order has not yet been processed for delivery, you may request changes to delivery details up to 12 hours before the scheduled delivery
  2. Flavour changes: Please tell us immediately after placing the order, or at least 48 hours before the delivery date.
  3. Cancellations: If you cancel at least 72 hours before the event or delivery date, we will issue a credit note valid for 6 months. If our team has already started preparations, a 50% deduction will apply.
  4. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the event or delivery date are not eligible for a credit note or refund, as the order will already be in production.
  5. To request any change or cancellation, email admin@joyfulcakes.ae or message us on WhatsApp. Requests are only valid once we acknowledge them.

7. Returns and Refunds

  1. Because our products are freshly made, perishable food items, we do not accept returns, and we do not issue refunds once an order has been paid and confirmed, except as set out below.
  2. If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or not as described due to our error, please contact us within [2] hours of delivery or collection at admin@joyfulcakes.ae or on WhatsApp, with clear photos. We will review the matter and, where appropriate, offer a replacement, a credit note or a partial or full refund at our discretion.
  3. We cannot offer a remedy where the issue is due to incorrect information given by you, improper storage or handling after delivery or collection, or differences that are normal for handcrafted items.
  4. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under applicable UAE consumer protection law.

8. Allergens and Dietary Information

  1. All our products are made in a shared kitchen that processes wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts and tree nuts. We cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from traces of allergens.
  2. Products marked as gluten free, eggless, or similar are prepared with those ingredients excluded, but are still produced in the same kitchen as other baked goods, so cross-contact is possible.
  3. If you or your guests have allergies or dietary requirements, please tell us at the time of ordering so we can guide you. We also recommend warning your guests, especially anyone with severe nut allergies, before serving.
  4. We cannot be held responsible for allergic reactions where allergy information was not disclosed to us before the order was placed.

9. Storage and Consumption

Our products are freshly baked. For best quality, please follow these guidelines:

Refrigerate on receipt. Take out and rest at cool room temperature for about 1 hour before serving. Fresh cream cakes must be refrigerated and consumed within 2 to 3 days.

Brownies

Room temperature for 4 to 5 hours, or refrigerated for 5 to 7 days.

Cookies

Cool room temperature for 5 to 7 days.

Tea cakes

Refrigerated for 4 to 5 days.

Truffles / Granola

Refrigerated for up to 1 month.


Dubai’s heat can quickly affect cakes, especially those with fresh cream, buttercream or fondant. Once your order is delivered or collected, please keep it in a cool, air-conditioned place or refrigerate it. We are not responsible for melting, sagging or damage caused by heat or improper storage after handover.

10. Non-Edible Components and Food Colours

  1. Custom cakes may contain non-edible supports such as wires, toothpicks, wooden dowels, styrofoam or other structural items, as well as non-edible decorations. Please carefully remove these before cutting and serving, and keep them away from young children.
  2. We use food-grade colours that are approved by Dubai Municipality and widely used in the food industry. If you prefer lighter or minimal colouring, let us know when ordering.

11. Promotions and Discount Codes

  1. Promotional offers and discount codes (including any first-order discount) are subject to their stated conditions, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be combined with other offers unless stated.
  2. We may withdraw or change a promotion at any time without affecting orders already confirmed.

12. Photos and Social Media

Unless you tell us otherwise, we may photograph or film our products and share them on our website and social media. We will not share your personal details without your consent.

13. Privacy

We collect and use personal information (such as your name, phone number, address and email) only to process your order, deliver it, communicate with you, and, where you have agreed, send you offers. We do not sell your personal data. You can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time. Our full Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

14. Limitation of Liability

  1. To the extent permitted by UAE law, our liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the price paid for that order.
  2. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, power or equipment failure, supply disruption, traffic or road closures, government action, or public emergencies.
  3. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including photographs, videos, text, logos and designs, belongs to Joyful Treats or its licensors and may not be copied or used without our written permission.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time you place your order applies to that order.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, without limiting your right to contact the relevant consumer protection authorities.
